Lawrence C. McHenry Award: An Award for the History of Neurology

Sponsored by the American Academy of Neurology, the Lawrence C. McHenry Award recognizes excellence and originality in research on the history of neurology. The recipient receives a certificate and complimentary registration for the 2027 AAN Annual Meeting and must present the winning paper at the meeting’s history of neurology scientific session.

Applicants may submit an unpublished manuscript or one published within two years of the October 20, 2026 deadline; AAN membership is not required, but industry employees are ineligible. Applications may be self-submitted or nominated and must include a completed form and a manuscript formatted according to Neurology journal guidelines.
