About this program
The Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA) presents the Leonard Heise Award annually at its Annual Meeting to recognize a non-medical eye banker for outstanding service to EBAA and significant contributions to the fight against blindness. Nominees must have been associated with an EBAA-accredited eye bank for at least 10 years and demonstrate substantial local, national, and/or international contributions to eye banking. Nominations must include a supporting letter from the nominee’s Board President, Executive Director, or Medical Director and be submitted by August 28, 2026.
