About this program
The Texas State Historical Association offers the annual Liz Carpenter Award for Best Book on the History of Women, recognizing the best scholarly book on women’s history in Texas and providing the winning author with a $2,000 prize and certificate. Eligible books must be published and copyrighted in 2025 or 2026, with publishers submitting an entry form and four copies by November 15, 2026; books published after October 1 may be submitted through December 1. Winning authors must attend the TSHA Annual Meeting to receive the award, and each submission must include an individual nomination form.
