Loeb Classical Library Foundation Fellowship

About this program

The Loeb Classical Library Foundation offers fellowships of approximately $1,000–$40,000 to qualified scholars for research, publication, and other classical studies projects, including travel, conferences, archaeological excavations, research assistance, and materials. Faculty emeriti may seek publication support, while applicants requesting salary replacement must hold faculty status and not have received a full-year funded sabbatical or research fellowship in the previous three years. Applications for 2027–28 open August 17, 2026, and are due November 15, 2026; applicants must provide complete project budgets and disclose other funding sources when requesting non-salary support.
