Louisville Institute Grant for Researchers

About this program

The Louisville Institute offers Grants for Researchers of up to $55,000 to support scholarly research on North American Christianity and related fields, including Christian faith and life, ministry, religious movements, faith-based institutions, and religion and social issues. Funds may support research projects, academic leave or sabbaticals, research resources, and related costs for projects conducted from April 1, 2027, through December 31, 2028. Applicants must be scholars based in the United States or Canada who have completed a terminal research degree and typically teach or work in an academic, ecclesial, or related research setting; teams of up to three may apply. Applications are due September 2, 2026, and applicants may submit only one Louisville Institute grant or fellowship application during the applicable period.
