About this program
The Louisville Institute offers Grants for Researchers of up to $55,000 to support scholarly research on North American Christianity and related fields, including Christian faith and life, ministry, religious movements, faith-based institutions, and religion and social issues. Funds may support research expenses, academic leave or sabbaticals, and related resources for projects conducted from April 1, 2027, through December 31, 2028. Eligible applicants are scholars based in the United States or Canada who have completed a terminal research degree; applicants may apply individually or in teams of up to three. Applications are due September 2, 2026, and applicants may submit only one Louisville Institute grant or fellowship application during the applicable period.
