Louisville Institute Postdoctoral Fellowship

About this program

The Louisville Institute offers Postdoctoral Fellowships providing $75,000 annually for a two-year visiting-scholar placement at a graduate theological school, college, university, or research organization in the United States or Canada from fall 2027 through spring 2029. Fellows receive teaching experience, pastoral and faculty mentoring, and professional formation through the Vocation of the Theological Educator Initiative. Eligible applicants are scholars based in the United States or Canada who will complete and defend a Ph.D. or Th.D. by June 30, 2027, demonstrate commitment to Christian theological education, and connect their scholarship to its contemporary challenges. Applications are due October 1, 2026, with eight fellowships expected to be awarded.
