About this program
The Texas State Historical Association, established by the Texas Jewish Historical Society, offers the $2,000 Lynna Kay Shuffield Memorial Award for outstanding scholarship in Texas Jewish history. Eligible works include books, book chapters, scholarly articles, photography or film, theses, and dissertations published in 2024–2026. Graduate students and lay historians may be nominated, with publishers required to submit an entry form, individual nomination form, and four copies by November 15, 2026; works published after October 1 may be submitted by December 1. The winner must attend the TSHA Annual Meeting to receive the award.
