About this program
The Society for Integrative and Comparative Biology (SICB) offers the annual M. Patricia Morse Award for Excellence and Innovation in Science Education to recognize a member at any career stage for significant contributions and innovation in science education. The award honors achievements advancing SICB’s educational mission, including promoting diversity and inclusive pedagogy, and may include support for attendance at the annual meeting. Nominators must submit the nominee’s current CV, a one-page statement describing education contributions, supporting materials, and three recommendation letters, including at least one from the nominator. Nominations are due September 10; awardees must write a 1,500–2,000-word science education article for the SICB newsletter.
