About this program
The Medieval Academy of America’s CARA Conference Grant provides one annual $1,000 award to support a regional or consortial Medieval Studies Association or Program’s conference held in the year following application. Graduate-student-run conferences are not eligible and should apply through the MAA/GSC Grant program instead. Primary applicants must be MAA members in good standing by September 15, and applications due October 15 must include an online cover page and a two-page proposal with conference plans, a projected budget, other funding sources, and demonstrated financial need.
