MacDowell Fellowship

About this program

MacDowell offers fellowships supporting artists through residencies scheduled for March–August 2027 and September 2027–February 2028. Applicants may apply in only one discipline once every two years and must submit discipline-specific work samples, generally completed within the past four years, with English-language text required. Requirements vary by field and may include manuscripts, scripts, scores, recordings, videos, images, project documentation, and curriculum vitae materials. Deadlines are September 10, 2026, for Spring/Summer 2027 residencies and February 10, 2027, for Fall/Winter 2027–2028 residencies.
