About this program
MacDowell offers fellowships that support artists through residencies in architecture, film/video, interdisciplinary arts, literature, music composition, theatre, and visual arts. Residencies are available from March–August 2027 and September 2027–February 2028, with application deadlines of September 10, 2026, and February 10, 2027, respectively. Established, developing, and emerging artists may apply, and applicants whose subdiscipline is not explicitly listed are encouraged to contact MacDowell. Original work across a broad range of genres and media is considered.
