Marketing to Attract Tourists (MTAT)

The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development offers Marketing to Attract Tourists grants to promote destinations, attractions, and tourism events that draw visitors from within a four-hour drive of Pennsylvania. Funding supports cooperative destination marketing, sporting-event recruitment, major concerts and conventions, and general tourism marketing initiatives. Eligible applicants include nonprofit destination marketing organizations, tourism-related businesses, and coalitions of regional, industry, or activity-based groups. Projects must increase awareness of Pennsylvania destinations or attract out-of-state visitors, with specific event programs requiring qualifying overnight stays.
