Marshall D. Shulman Book Prize

About this program

The Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies, sponsored by Columbia University’s Harriman Institute, awards the Marshall D. Shulman Book Prize annually for an outstanding monograph on the international relations, foreign policy, or foreign-policy decision-making of former Soviet or Eastern European states; the prize includes a cash award and is presented at the ASEEES Annual Convention. Eligible works must be original English-language monographs, preferably by one or no more than two authors, published in the previous calendar year. Textbooks, edited collections, translations, reference works, bibliographies, and self-published books are ineligible; nominations may be submitted only by the author or publisher, with the nomination form due April 15 and books received by May 15.
