About this program
The Martha F. Bowden Teaching Prize Committee of SEASECS awards $300 and $200 prizes for innovative approaches to teaching the eighteenth century at the undergraduate or graduate level. Winning submissions may be featured on the Society’s website to share effective pedagogical practices. Applicants must be SEASECS members at submission, and the proposed teaching idea must have been used in a course between September 1 and August 31 preceding the award meeting. Submissions are due November 15 as a single PDF and must include replication instructions and supporting materials; non-English content must include English translations.
