Matters of Religion Grant

About this program

Indiana Humanities, with support from Lilly Endowment Inc., offers Matters of Religion Grants of up to $5,000 for public programs that help Hoosiers explore religion, religious liberty, and their impacts on education, democracy, culture, and civic life. Eligible projects may include discussions, community conversations, media projects, presentations, exhibitions, and oral-history initiatives. Applicants must provide a 50 percent cash and in-kind match and submit proposals by October 31, 2026; the program will reopen quarterly in 2027.
