McKnight Clinical Translational Research Scholarship in Cognitive Aging and Age-Related Memory Loss

Funded by the McKnight Brain Research Foundation through the American Brain Foundation and American Academy of Neurology, the McKnight Clinical Translational Research Scholarship supports early-career investigators conducting clinical or translational research on cognitive aging and age-related memory loss. Each award provides $65,000 annually for two years plus a $10,000 annual stipend, totaling $150,000, with applications due September 10, 2026.

Applicants must be AAN members pursuing academic careers in neurological research and must have completed residency or a PhD no more than five years before July 1, 2027. Proposed research must involve human subjects, human tissue, or translational work aimed at improving the diagnosis or treatment of neurological disease; projects focused solely on neurodegenerative dementia are not eligible.
