About this program

The Kurt Weill Foundation for Music provides grants to nonprofit organizations for radio, television, video, film, audio, and multimedia projects featuring the lives or music of Kurt Weill, Lotte Lenya, or Marc Blitzstein. Applications are reviewed by an independent advisory panel, with regular deadlines of November 1 and June 1; proposals for major professional productions may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Eligible applicants must demonstrate nonprofit status and submit an English application, project description, organizational history, itemized budget, and written commitment from the relevant broadcaster, label, or other presenting entity. Retroactive funding is not available.
