About this program
The Consortium of Humanities Centers and Institutes (CHCI) offers the Membership Activity Fund twice annually to support inclusive collaborations among members and activities that benefit the broader CHCI membership. Grants of up to $10,000—typically approximately $5,000—may support collaborative events, networks, professional development, publications, meetings, or new and ongoing humanities initiatives; indirect costs are not eligible. Applicants must be staff members of a CHCI member center or institute, while collaborators may be nonmembers. The next listed deadlines are October 5, 2026, and February 8, 2027; applicants may submit only one proposal per review cycle.
