Merck Animal Health Veterinary Student Innovation Awards

About this program

Merck Animal Health, in partnership with the American Veterinary Medical Foundation, offers the Veterinary Student Innovation Awards to recognize graduating veterinary students whose innovative projects or products inspire or advance the profession. Awards provide $10,000 for first place, $5,000 for second place, and $3,000 for third place. Eligible applicants must be final-year students in good academic standing at an AVMA-accredited veterinary school in the United States or Canada, with demonstrated innovation, entrepreneurial creativity, and leadership; nominations must be submitted by school faculty between September 1 and 30, 2026.
