Michael Balint Scholarship for Medical Students Interested in Psychoanalytic Work

The Medical Student Education Committee of the American Psychoanalytic Association offers the Michael Balint Scholarship to promote psychodynamic and psychoanalytic thinking among medical students. The award includes $500 for travel to APsA’s February 2027 National Meeting in Washington, D.C., along with complimentary registration to APsA’s National and Annual Meetings. Applicants must be actively enrolled in an accredited medical school and may self-nominate or be nominated by another person. Applications are due September 15 by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time and must include a current CV, a statement of interest of no more than 500 words, and the completed application form.
