About this program
The Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity and the Michigan Office of Rural Prosperity offer the Michigan Rural Readiness Network, a collaborative initiative to support rural communities. This network provides access to resources, training, and technical assistance, fostering peer connections and community development.
Local Readiness Teams, consisting of 3-8 individuals from various sectors within a community, are eligible to participate. These teams should represent a cross-section of the community, including municipal, workforce, economic, and nonprofit organizations. While there is no cost associated with joining the network, consistent engagement may lead to additional support opportunities through the Rural Readiness Program.
