Mid-Career Professional Development Grant

About this program

Forecast Public Art, with support from the McKnight Foundation, offers two $5,000 Mid-Career Professional Development Grants for Minnesota-based artists advancing their careers in public art during January 1–November 30, 2027. Funds may support residencies, apprenticeships, conferences, travel, study, skill development, or project models and prototypes, but not commission- or client-based work. Applicants must be mid-career artists with at least 10 years of active creation and exhibition experience and propose activities that advance their public art practice. Applications, including a proposal, community and career impact statements, resume, and work samples, are due through Submittable by October 18, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CST.
