Mid-Career Professional Development Grant

About this program

Forecast Public Art, with support from the McKnight Foundation, will award two $5,000 grants for Minnesota-based mid-career artists to pursue public art professional development from January 1 through November 30, 2027. Funds may support residencies, apprenticeships, conferences, travel, study, skill development, or project models and prototypes that advance an artist’s public art career; commission or client-based work is ineligible. Applicants must have actively created and exhibited work for at least 10 years and submit a proposal, career and community impact statements, resume, and work samples through Submittable by October 18, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CST.
