Mini Grants

About this program

The Maine Humanities Council offers Mini Grants of up to $2,000 for smaller humanities programs and projects with broad public outreach across Maine. Proposals are evaluated for humanities content, project goals and impact, design and budget, community engagement, and alignment with Council priorities. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, government, church, and educational organizations; other organizations must apply with a fiscal sponsor. Organizations that received a Maine Humanities Council project grant in the current or preceding calendar year are ineligible.
