Molecular Biomarker Study Using AI/ML in Lung Transplantation

The International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) Foundation, supported by CareDx, is awarding two one‑year Molecular Biomarker grants of up to $40,000 USD each to support research that combines non‑invasive blood/body fluid/tissue molecular biomarkers with AI/ML to improve access or clinical outcomes in lung transplantation; one award is designated for a U.S. laboratory and one for a non‑U.S. laboratory (application deadline 30 September 2026). Applicants must hold an academic or clinical appointment or be in training with a confirmed faculty position starting by the grant initiation or provide an institutional commitment letter, and must be an active ISHLT member or have submitted a membership application by 30 September. Projects must avoid overlap with other funding, CareDx employees are ineligible, and applicants with substantial relationships to CareDx must disclose them for eligibility review.
