About this program
The American Statistical Association’s Monroe G. Sirken Award in Interdisciplinary Survey Methods Research honors distinguished contributions that advance the theory or methods of collecting, verifying, processing, presenting, or analyzing survey data. The recipient delivers the Sirken Lecture at the Joint Statistical Meetings or the following year’s annual meeting of the American Association for Public Opinion Research and receives a $5,000 honorarium. Nominations are due November 10 and must include a nominating letter, the candidate’s CV, short biography, headshot, and three letters of support limited to two pages each. Awardees are selected for interdisciplinary contributions drawing on statistical, computer, information, social, psychological, or cognitive sciences to improve survey utility and efficiency.
