Montana Native Plant Society 2026 Grant Program

About this program

The Montana Native Plant Society offers grants of up to $2,500 in 2026 for research, education, conservation, restoration, native plant gardens, and related projects advancing the study and protection of Montana’s native plants and plant communities. Eligible expenses include project-specific travel, supplies, equipment, services, printing, and labor, with preference given to non-revenue-generating projects. Anyone may apply except MNPS Grants Committee members and prior recipients who failed to submit a final report; proposals must align with the Society’s mission, provide required project, budget, qualifications, and dissemination details, and be submitted online by October 31, 2026. Garden, restoration, and education projects have additional planning, expertise, maintenance, sourcing, and audience requirements, and awardees must submit a final report within one year.
