MOVCENTR Pilot Project Program (Phase 3)

About this program

UNO’s Center for Research in Human Movement Variability (MOVCENTR) is soliciting Phase 3 pilot project proposals to support investigators in generating preliminary data, using core facilities, and developing competitive external grant applications and high-impact publications. MOVCENTR plans to fund 2–4 strong projects annually, prioritizing tenure‑track or tenured UNO faculty who are Early Stage Investigators (ESI) or New Investigators (NI), investigators new to human movement variability research, and applicants from diverse backgrounds, with interdisciplinary collaborations encouraged. Eligible PIs must be UNO tenure‑track or tenured faculty meeting NIH definitions of ESI or NI. Required materials include an NIH biosketch indicating ESI/NI status, a project summary, a specific aims page, a research strategy (preferably ~3 pages, maximum 12 pages; Arial 11, 0.5" margins) addressing Significance, Innovation, Approach and Timeline, a description of how pilot funding will enable future extramural funding and publications, and a budget with justification; projects using MOVCENTR cores are preferred.
