About this program
The National Academy of Education, with support from the Spencer Foundation, offers the NAEd/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship to support early-career scholars conducting significant education research through an $80,000 one-year award, professional development retreats, and mentorship. Applicants must have earned a PhD, EdD, or equivalent research degree between January 1, 2021, and December 31, 2025, and may come from any discipline or country, provided their individual project focuses primarily on education. Applicants must not hold tenure, must demonstrate research experience, and must submit a project proposal, research writing sample, CV, and three recommendation letters by October 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. ET.
