About this program
The National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) offers Student Chapter Grants of up to $500 to support impactful chapter programs, including professional journalism development, community-based journalism partnerships, and chapter start-up initiatives. Funds may not be used for operations, scholarships, travel, administrative expenses, or fundraising. All NAHJ student chapters in good standing are eligible, and applications must include a cover sheet, president’s letter, proposal of up to 500 words, and projected budget. The Spring 2026 deadline is February 6, with awards announced within 30 days.
