About this program
The Newborn Brain Society offers $10,000 Early Career Awards to support basic, translational, clinical, or quality improvement research advancing fetal and neonatal brain care; indirect costs are not allowed. Applicants must be NBS members with an MD, PhD, MD/PhD, RN, NNP, PT/OT, MPH, or allied health credential, and must be in training or within five years of completing their most recent training. Applicants may not hold $100,000 or more in current non-salary operating research support and must obtain an approved Letter of Intent before submitting a full application. The 2026 LOI deadline is August 1, the application deadline is October 1, and projects must be independently led and feasible within one year.
