NBS Impact Award

About this program

The Newborn Brain Society offers the 2026 Impact Award to support clinically oriented research, implementation, or other projects that improve newborn brain health and neurodevelopment at the community or population level. Awards provide $10,000 for direct project costs, with no indirect costs permitted. Applicants must be NBS members, hold an eligible clinical, research, or allied-health credential, and be early- to mid-career professionals based in a low-, lower-middle-, or upper-middle-income country. Applicants may not hold a full professorship, lead a well-established independently funded program, or have at least $100,000 in sustained external research funding as a lead applicant; an approved letter of intent is required by August 1, 2026, before the October 1, 2026 application deadline.
