NCSBN Doctoral Student Grant

About this program

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) offers Doctoral Student Grants of up to $30,000 for scientific research projects focused on nursing regulation and policy. Projects must be completed within 12 months of the start date, with funding supporting research-related expenses such as data collection, analysis, consultants, survey distribution, and limited travel. Applicants must be doctoral students and submit an APA-formatted proposal using the NCSBN application form by October 2, 2026, or April 2, 2027. Funding may not be used for salary, tuition, stipends, durable goods, previously purchased items, or indirect costs.
