About this program

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) offers grants of up to $300,000 for scientific research advancing nursing policy, regulation, and regulatory expertise worldwide. Projects should address priorities such as nursing workforce, scope of practice, substance use disorders, technology, or policy impacts, and must be completed within 12–24 months. Investigators must submit the NCSBN application by October 2, 2026, or April 2, 2027, using APA formatting; project details are limited to 7,000 words, excluding references. Funding may support research-related expenses but excludes durable goods, tuition, publishing fees, previously purchased items, and indirect costs.
