About this program

The Massachusetts Life Sciences Center (MLSC), in collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital’s Alzheimer Disease Research Center and industry partners, funds preclinical, translational neuroscience research focused primarily on Alzheimer’s disease and related neurodegenerative conditions. Support targets the identification and validation of disease-relevant pathways, molecular targets, animal models, methods, and biomarkers for therapeutic development. Applicants must be researchers at Massachusetts academic or research institutions, and proposals must be grounded in recognized human disease genetics, pathophysiology, or pathways of established relevance to human disease. Applications for the current funding round are due August 31, 2026, with submissions accepted from May 18 through August 31, 2026.
