About this program

The American Chemical Society offers the Principal Investigator Development in Sustainability Grant to support early or mid-career investigators in establishing cross-disciplinary collaborations and receiving training in sustainability and green chemistry. This $50,000 grant funds a 6-12 month sabbatical at a different institution, company, or national lab, covering travel, accommodation, and laboratory supplies. Applicants must hold a faculty position at a U.S. Ph.D.-granting institution, plan a sabbatical starting in 2026, and commit to teaching a course incorporating green chemistry and sustainability.
