About this program
The American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) and Arcadia offer the ACLS Open Access Book Prize and Arcadia Open Access Publishing Award to honor authors and publishers of outstanding open access humanities scholarship. These prizes, supported by Arcadia, aim to promote open access publishing and increase public access to humanities research. Authors and publishers of open access humanities works are eligible to apply, with submissions for the 2025 competition opening on July 18, 2024, and closing on September 10, 2024. Winners receive $20,000 (authors) and $30,000 (publishers) to support their open access initiatives.
