About this program

The Northwest Sarcoma Foundation (NWSF) offers one-year research grants of up to $10,000 for basic, clinical, translational, epidemiological, precision medicine, survivorship, and supportive-care research directly relevant to sarcoma. Funds may support salary, technical assistance, supplies, equipment, and scientific travel, but not indirect costs. Applicants must conduct the project at an academic, medical, or research institution; preference is given to researchers in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington, although U.S. citizenship is not required. Applicants may submit once per cycle and must provide a lay abstract, two-page project description, budget and justification, and CV or NIH Biosketch by 5 p.m. Pacific Time on October 15, 2026.
