NWRA Research Grants

About this program

The National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association (NWRA) offers Research Grants to support studies that advance knowledge in wildlife rehabilitation, including patient diagnosis and treatment, husbandry, post-release survival, and wildlife health research. Projects should promote collaboration among rehabilitators and research partners while ensuring humane care and adherence to the NWRA Code of Ethics; indirect costs are not eligible. Applicants must submit a pre-proposal of no more than two pages, including project objectives, methods, timeline, rehabilitation significance, budget, literature citations, and applicant biographies, to research@nwrawildlife.org by October 1, 2026. Successful pre-proposal applicants will be invited to submit full proposals by November 1, 2026.
