About this program
The New York Space Grant Consortium competitively awards recurring grants of up to $2,000 to support NASA-related STEM projects for New York educators and higher-education students, including research, training, accessibility improvements, and payload development. Projects should demonstrate relevance to NASA priorities, impact in New York State, measurable outcomes, and preferably collaboration, broad reach, innovation, or sustainability. Eligible applicants are full-time students or faculty at accredited New York colleges and universities, or New York K–12 STEM teachers (including qualifying homeschool parents), and funds must be received directly by the individual as a stipend. Applications are due December 1 for spring projects, May 1 for summer projects, and September 1 for fall projects; required-course senior projects and single-person travel are ineligible.
