2026-27 Opportunity Grants

About this program

The Arts and Cultural Alliance, Sarasota County’s designated local arts agency, administers 2026–27 Opportunity Grants to support smaller local arts organizations and emerging arts initiatives, with funding generated by Sarasota County “State of the Arts” license plate sales. Eligible organizations may request up to $5,000 for arts and cultural programming conducted in Sarasota County, although awards may be partially funded. Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits with arts and culture as a core mission, annual expenses below $500,000 on their most recent 990, and no grant from the TDC/A program; funds must be spent by September 30, 2026. Applications are accepted August 1–31, 2026, with awards announced September 30, 2026.
