OREF Career Development Grant

About this program

The Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF) offers the Career Development Grant to support basic, translational, clinical, or health sciences research, providing $300,000 over three years. Letters of intent are due August 13, 2026, and full applications are due October 15, 2026. An orthopaedic surgeon must serve as PI, co-investigator, or MPI; the surgeon PI must be U.S.-licensed and based at a U.S. institution. PhD applicants may serve as co-PI or MPI if they hold a faculty appointment in a U.S. orthopaedic department, with additional requirements specified in the RFA.
