OREF Multimodal Musculoskeletal Perioperative Pain Management Grant

About this program

The OREF, in collaboration with the AANA Foundation, offers a $45,000 grant for investigator-initiated research on perioperative musculoskeletal pain management, including opioid-sparing multimodal approaches and regional anesthesia techniques in orthopaedic surgery. Letters of intent are due August 13, 2026, and full applications are due October 15, 2026. The PI or co-PI team must include a CRNA meeting NBCRNA continuous certification requirements; collaborating PhD investigators must hold faculty appointments, and MD co-PIs must hold valid U.S. medical licenses.
