Outreach and Restoration Grant Program

About this program

The Chesapeake Bay Trust, in partnership with Maryland local governments and other organizations, offers Outreach and Restoration Grants for community outreach, behavior-change initiatives, and on-the-ground restoration of green spaces, waterways, and natural resources. Maryland projects may request up to $50,000 for outreach and knowledge-building, $75,000 for behavior-change projects, $125,000 for restoration, or $150,000 for combined outreach and restoration projects. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, community and homeowners associations, faith-based organizations, and other entities identified in the RFP; matching funds are encouraged but not required. Applications are due September 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. EST.
