Outstanding Employer Award

About this program

The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) offers the Outstanding Employer Award to recognize facilities that demonstrate sustained, exemplary support for oncology nurses and advance ONS’s mission, vision, and values. The recipient receives a $750 credit for ONS activities, a desktop award, and eligible ONS publications or other items. Nominations may be submitted by individual ONS members or groups of nurses at the same facility and must include a narrative statement and letters of support; large organizations must nominate a specific facility. Eligible employers should demonstrate support such as funding ONS dues and educational activities, promoting ONS resources, recognizing members, and enabling participation in ONS programs; nominations are due online by September 30 at 5:00 p.m. ET, and recipients must serve as volunteer reviewers for the following two award cycles.
