Outstanding Mentor Award

About this program

The American Association for Anatomy (AAA) offers the Outstanding Mentor Award to recognize members with sustained, impactful commitments to mentoring and advancing the training and careers of others. The award includes a $1,000 honorarium, complimentary Annual Meeting registration, and up to $1,000 in travel reimbursement. Nominees must be current AAA members for at least one year and have completed their highest degree at least 10 years ago; nominations must come from mentees or knowledgeable colleagues and include a nomination letter, mentee list, CV or NIH-style biosketch, and three support letters, including one from an AAA member. Nominations are due October 19, 2026, with nominee materials due November 9, 2026.
