About this program

The Pediatric Pharmacy Association (PPA) Small Research Grant funds pharmacist-led health services research focused on neonatal and pediatric medication use to improve safety, effectiveness, and innovation; up to two awards of $2,000 each are available to cover consultant fees, IRB costs, research supplies, required study travel and patient reimbursements (investigator salaries and permanent equipment are ineligible). Applicants must be licensed pharmacists in their country of practice conducting neonatal/pediatric medication-use research and must include evidence of mentor/advisor support and IRB submission with the application (IRB approval required before funds are released); multidisciplinary teams are encouraged. Recipients must present results at a PPA conference and pursue publication in a peer‑reviewed journal; the 2026 cycle portal opens in August with a representative deadline of September 30, 2026 (2025 cycle: 2025-10-01 to 2025-11-01).
