2026 Peg’s Fight for Life Early Career Research Award

A Breath of Hope Lung Cancer Foundation offers the 2026 Peg’s Fight for Life Early Career Research Award, providing one $150,000 award over two years to support salary, personnel, supplies, and related costs for promising lung cancer investigators. Research must address major questions in common mutated lung cancers, with priority given to EGFR-related studies, including treatment resistance, biomarkers, and innovative therapies. Applicants must hold an MD, PhD, DO, DrPH, or equivalent, be within the first 10 years of their initial faculty appointment, have a mentor, and work at a U.S. research institution with protected research time. Letters of inquiry are due June 30, 2026; invited full proposals are due August 25, 2026, and required IRB/IACUC approvals must be obtained before applicable funds are released.
