About this program

The California Department of Housing and Community Development offers $335 million through the 2022 Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Notice of Funding Availability to support local housing needs, including affordable and supportive housing, homelessness services, homeownership, accessibility modifications, and housing preservation. Eligible applicants are California entitlement or non-entitlement local governments, or local/regional housing trust funds delegated by a local government. Applicants must undertake eligible activities consistent with PLHA guidelines and, for homelessness-related projects, comply with Housing First requirements; matching funds are not required. Applications are due February 28, 2027, with awards expected through June 30, 2027.
